Basri Amin is an Indonesian researcher and lecturer in the Faculty of Education at the State University of Gorontalo, where he teaches courses on Sociology of Education, Global Perspectives, and Social Studies. His research interests include historical literacy, social memory, and urban generation. He has conducted historical research on student politics in the town of Ternate, North Maluku, as well as the dynamics of local nationalism and the educated elite in North Sulawesi. He is the author of several books and journal articles on the historical dimensions of cultural literacy, political leadership, ideas of nationhood, and printed media in Eastern Indonesia. Most recently, he authored Ajoeba Wartabone 1894–1957. Sekali ke Djokja Tetap ke Djokja, a historical biography highlighting the contributions of a nationalist leader from Gorontalo.

Basri Amin adalah peneliti dan dosen Indonesia di Fakultas Pendidikan, Universitas Negeri Gorontalo, di mana ia mengajar mata kuliah Sosiologi Pendidikan, Perspektif Global, dan Ilmu Sosial. Minat penelitiannya mencakup literasi sejarah, memori sosial, dan generasi urban. Ia telah melakukan penelitian sejarah mengenai politik mahasiswa di kota Ternate, Maluku Utara, serta dinamika nasionalisme lokal dan elit terpelajar di Sulawesi Utara. Basri juga merupakan penulis beberapa buku dan artikel jurnal yang membahas dimensi historis literasi budaya, kepemimpinan politik, gagasan kebangsaan, dan media cetak di Indonesia Timur. Baru-baru ini, ia menulis Ajoeba Wartabone 1894–1957. Sekali ke Djokja Tetap ke Djokja, sebuah biografi sejarah yang menyoroti kontribusi seorang tokoh nasionalis dari Gorontalo.
