Natali Pearson

Dr. Natali Pearson is a Senior Lecturer at the University of Sydney, specializing in maritime heritage in Southeast Asia. She is affiliated with the Discipline of Archaeology and has strong ties with Asian Studies. As President of the Indonesia Council Inc and a Councillor for the Australasian Institute for Maritime Archaeology, she is actively involved in her field. Dr. Pearson co-founded and co-edits Perspectives on the Past at New Mandala and recently joined the editorial board of The Great Circle. Previously, she worked for the Australian Federal Government in defense and policy roles. An alumna of ACICIS and the Asialink Leaders Program, she also hosts the podcast SSEAC Stories, featuring discussions on Southeast Asian topics. Dr. Pearson has received multiple awards and nominations.
