Anton Kurnia is an Indonesian author, literary translator, and editor. Kurnia writes short stories, novels, essays, narrative nonfiction, and travelogues. He also serves as the Chairman of the Literature Committee at the Jakarta Arts Council and the Director of the Jakarta International Literary Festival (JILF). His short story collection, Nostalgia from 2023, was selected as one of the best fiction books of the year by Tempo magazine. Earlier this year, he was invited as a writer-in-residence in Dilsberg by the UNESCO City of Literature Heidelberg. He has translated books by James Joyce, Vladimir Nabokov, and Salman Rushdie into Indonesian, among others. With extensive experience in the book publishing world, he served as a member of the National Book Committee (2016-2019).

Anton Kurnia adalah seorang penulis, penerjemah sastra, dan editor asal Indonesia. Kurnia menulis cerita pendek, novel, esai, narasi nonfiksi, dan catatan perjalanan. Ia juga menjabat sebagai Ketua Komite Sastra di Dewan Kesenian Jakarta (DKJ) dan Direktur Jakarta International Literary Festival (JILF). Kumpulan cerpen karyanya yang terbit tahun 2023, Nostalgia, terpilih sebagai salah satu buku fiksi terbaik tahun ini oleh Majalah Tempo. Awal tahun ini, ia juga diundang sebagai penulis residensi di Dilsberg oleh UNESCO City of Literature Heidelberg. Ia telah menerjemahkan karya banyak penulis ke dalam bahasa Indonesia, di antaranya buku-buku karya James Joyce, Vladimir Nabokov, dan Salman Rushdie. Dengan pengalaman yang luas di dunia penerbitan buku, ia menjabat sebagai anggota Komite Buku Nasional untuk periode 2016-2019.
