Valley Stage

Dive into a discussion on representation in the publishing industry and the forces driving change. We’ll explore the framework of the industry, where some literatures are central while others are marginalized. Learn how small presses and imprints are leading efforts to reflect the world's rich diversity and discover the challenges and strategies in publishing works by underrepresented authors. Join our panelists to discover the importance of publishing diverse books that represent all communities, cultures, and experiences.

Our speakers for this panel are award-winning author Siang Lu, esteemed writer Anton Kurnia, and short story writer Aneeta Sundararaj. Moderated by Pamela Allen, Adjunct Professor of Indonesian language and literature.
