Kate Sawyer

Kate Sawyer is an award-winning author, actor, and producer. Her third novel, Getting Away, was released in July 2025 to critical acclaim. Her second novel, This Family, was a Waterstones Book of the Month and Paperback of the Year. Her debut, The Stranding, was shortlisted for the Costa First Novel Award, won the East Anglian Book Award for fiction, was adapted for BBC Radio 4’s Book at Bedtime, and is being developed for the screen. Kate regularly works as a moderator for literary events and is the presenter and producer of the Novel Experience podcast. She is also the programme curator of the Bury St Edmunds Literature Festival.
