Volunteer with us

Our Festival returns from 29 October to 2 November, and we are looking for over 100 people to join our team of volunteers.

There are lots of ways to get involved as a volunteer, from helping behind the scenes to greeting the public at our events. Volunteering is fun, flexible, and a great way to pick up new skills and meet like-minded people.

Whether you love literature, and culture, or you just want to try something new, we are looking for people of all kinds to join the team.

Be the face of a premier festival

Your time and talent in whatever role you chose brings to life Southeast Asia's largest, longest-running literature and cultural event, attracting over 15,000 passionate and enthusiastic storytelling lovers annually from around the world.

Learn something new

Whether your role involves accompanying prominent writers and artists, emceeing events onstage, or working with our Media team to coordinate press engagements, you will pick up skills that can lead to new opportunities.

Become part of a vibrant community

Join a group of diverse and compassionate individuals coming together to organise this remarkable annual festival in the heart of Bali.

Get a proper training and receive goodies

You will receive the full training needed for your role, along with some nice giveaways including, the official festival T-Shirt, a Goodie Bag, and Certificate of Appreciation, and of course, a 4-Day Festival Pass for our main program.

I really enjoyed being part of a special cultural event with other volunteers who love talking to interesting people and reading. I can't wait to see my old friends again and make new ones.
