Robin Lim is a Filipino-American midwife and Founder of Bumi Sehat Foundation, an Indonesian non-profit, offers free prenatal care, birthing services, and medical aid. She also serves on Bumi-Wadah Philippines' board, known locally as "Lola Robin." Lim advocates for human rights in childbirth, protecting mothers and newborns to foster peace. Recognized as the Premier Alexander Langer by the Alexander Langer Foundation in 2006, she became CNN Hero of the Year in 2011, gaining global recognition. Lim received the Jeannine Parvati BirthKeeper award from APPPAH in 2012 and was named Impact Hero by Earth Company in 2016. Lim authored several books, including Ecology of Gentle Birth, After the Baby’s Birth, Wellness for Mothers, Eating for Two, Placenta the Forgotten Chakra, the poetry collection The Geometry of Splitting Souls, and the novel Butterfly People.
