Explore the ancient art of rain shaman knowledge through this exhibition presented by the Hanacaraka Society. This unique showcase features Balinese lontar palm-leaf manuscripts, which have preserved spiritual teachings, historical events, and local wisdom for centuries. The Hanacaraka Society, a nonprofit dedicated to safeguarding Balinese scripts, language, and literature, invites you to delve into Bali’s rich heritage through these remarkable manuscripts, offering insight into the island’s traditions and spiritual practices.

The exhibition, a special collaboration between Markandeya Library and Hanacaraka Society, runs from 24 to 27 October, 2024.
