Conchita Blanco is a Balinese architect and designer, and the founder of Blancostudio. The granddaughter of Spanish painter Don Antonio Blanco and Balinese dancer Ni Rondji, Conchita spent her early childhood in Bali before moving to Australia. In 2014, she graduated from the University of Melbourne with a Bachelor’s in Environments and a Master’s in Architecture. After a decade in Australia, she returned to Indonesia in 2015, joining Andra Matin and contributing to hospitality and commercial projects, as well as art installations for the Venice Biennale Architettura. She later became creative director and principal designer at Kalpa Taru, a custom woodworking atelier in Bali, where she honed her expertise in Indonesian craftsmanship and sustainable tropical hardwoods.
