Kam Raslan is a Malaysian writer and broadcaster. He began his career as a filmmaker, working in London, Los Angeles, Malaysia, and Indonesia, before moving into writing. His work has appeared in publications such as The Economist and Mekong Review, and he wrote a long-running column for The Edge Malaysia. He hosts two popular shows on BFM Radio, A Bit of Culture and Just For Kicks, which are also available as podcasts. Kam Raslan is the author of Confessions of an Old Boy, a collection of short stories tracing the adventures of Dato’ Hamid from the 1940s to the 2000s. First published in 2008, the book was reissued in 2024.
