In partnership with the Australasian Association of Writing Programs (AAWP), we are calling upon aspiring writers to submit to the Emerging Writers' Prize of Prose and the Emerging Writers' Prize of Poetry, and translators at all career stages to submit to the Translators' Prize, to take part in a literary experience like no other.
The prize package includes a 4-Day Festival Pass to our 2024 Festival and complimentary accommodation throughout the stay. Additionally, winners will receive a one-year membership to the AAWP and fully subsidized conference fees to attend the AAWP annual conference, where they will have the opportunity to read from their work. The winning entries will also be considered for publication by the editors of the Meniscus literary journal.
HOW TO APPLY
Submissions are now open and will close at midnight (GMT+8) on Thursday, 30 June 2024. Winners will be announced on Friday, 30 September 2024. There is a AUD 20 entry fee. Entrants must meet specific requirements for each Prize they apply for, so it's crucial to read the full terms and conditions of all prizes, at Submittable (the entry portal) or AAWP Prizes Page before applying.
