Pusaka, meaning 'heirloom' in Indonesian, typically refers to cherished items passed down through generations, often physical objects like scriptures, antiques, or jewelry. However, we believe Pusaka should also encompass intangible legacies, like traditional weaving, born from a deep connection with nature. Among the Dayak groups, the Ngaju, Tewoyan, and Ot Danum are renowned for their intricate rattan weaving, while Iban women excel in crafting traditional textiles like Ikat, Sungkit, Pileh, and Sidan. To become a master weaver, one must achieve expertise and seek permission from the spirit world through dreams. Tangan Pusaka celebrates the skilled hands of Dayak women, sharing the stories of rattan weaving from the Dayak Tewoyan in Central Kalimantan and Tenun from the Iban in West Kalimantan. It honors the creative, nurturing, and nature-loving spirit of Dayak women's hands.Exhibition
